Türkiye Shares its Experience on Health with Uzbekistan

A Clinic Research Certification Program was organized for health care professionals of Uzbekistan by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health.

In cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health, TİKA organized a Clinic Research Certification Program in Ankara for the health care professionals of Uzbekistan Bone Marrow Transplant Center.

Within the scope of the program as implemented in Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital, a series of training activities were provided under various subjects, including introduction to clinical research, ethical principles, the position and potential of developing countries in clinical trials for drug products, responsibilities of clinical research team and volunteers, characteristics of phase trials, and requirements for a new center.

Uzbek health care professionals who successfully completed their training as a result of the 2-week program received their certificates. A total of 85 health care professionals have participated in training programs that have been organized in Türkiye and Uzbekistan periodically since 2008.

About Bone Marrow Transplant Center

Sponsored by TİKA, a Bone Marrow Transplant Center was established in 2008 under Uzbekistan Ministry of Heath, Hematology and Blood Transfusion Scientific Research Institute. Being the first and only of its kind throughout Central Asia, the Bone Marrow Transplant Center was provided with all necessary medical equipment and devices by TİKA.
