12 September 2022Pakistan Stage of the Experience Sharing Program is Completed
Volunteer students from various universities of Türkiye went to Pakistan to participate in various activities of TİKA within the scope of 2022 Experience Sharing Program (TPP) as implemented by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
Volunteer ambassadors, who went to Pakistan within the scope of the 2022 Program, examined the projects supported by TİKA on site.
Having visited Lahore School, volunteer students contributed to ongoing activities at the school. The students also helped restoration of the chemistry laboratory at Lahore Mansoorah Model Degree College and planting trees in the school garden. At the end of the activities, a friendly soccer match was played between the school students and Turkish students. On the final day in Lahore, volunteer ambassadors visited historical and cultural places in the city. Within this scope, the students visited Minar-e-Pakistan, the Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Castle, and Wagah Border Gate.
During the course of the program, having visited the Republic of Türkiye Islamabad Embassy, the volunteer ambassadors of TİKA were welcomed by Mehmet Paçacı, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Islamabad. Afterwards, volunteer students visited Pakistan offices of Anatolian Agency, Türk Kızılay, Yunus Emre Institute, and Maarif Foundation Schools.
Students participate in honey production activities
Having participated in the ongoing activities at Pakistan National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), the students examined laboratories established by TİKA and then participated in honey production activities. With the contribution of Youth Impact Foundation, Turkish students came together with Pakistani students to take part in various activities.
Having attended a ceremony held in Islamabad School of Excellence due to Pakistan Independence Day, volunteer students then helped activities in the chemistry laboratory established for Islamabad School of Excellence. Taking part in landscaping activities on the playground, our ambassadors later visited Pakistan Monument, The Faisal Mosque, and Daman-e-Koh viewing point, which are among the key touristic destinations in Islamabad province.
