Training Support from TİKA to Cuban Institute of Radio and Television

In collaboration with Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) offered training support to Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) on HD broadcasts.

The training sessions that took place in TRT’s headquarters covered a wide range of subjects such as HD production and News Studio, HD Master Control and Satellite Transmission Systems, and 4K Camera Systems for the Cuban delegation.

Leading the Cuban delegation, Assistant General Manager of the State Television, Guillermo Manuel Pavon Pacheco thanked TİKA and TRT, and he stated that this collaboration meant a lot to them and they would be happy to collaborate in the future as well. Pavon paid official visits and he discussed potential cooperation areas with TİKA Vice President Prof. Dr. Birol Çetin and TRT Assistant General Manager Erkan Durdu. TİKA Vice President Çetin pointed out that TİKA previously assisted Cuba on Solar Energy and Chickpea Cultivation and stressed that the cooperation with Cuba will continue at an increased pace.

After the weeklong training program, the members of the Cuban state television delegation were given their certificates by TRT Assistant General Manager Erkan Durdu.
