TİKA Trains Law Enforcement Officers on Cybercrimes in Ukraine

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the General Directorate of Security conducted the “Training Program on Investigation Techniques for Cybercrimes” for the staff of the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine.

Carrying out the “International Police Training Cooperation Project” for law enforcement officers of friendly and sister countries since 2007 in cooperation with the General Directorate of Security of the Republic of Turkey, TİKA continues to hold online training courses for partner countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the online training program conducted by TİKA from March 22 to 24, 2021, 37 officers from the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine were trained on “Investigation Techniques for Cybercrimes” in cooperation with the Department of Combating Cybercrimes of the General Directorate of Security.

During the training, which involved mutual sharing of knowledge and experience, the trainees were trained on the fight against crimes associated with payment systems, the fraud methods used, the stages of cybercrime investigations, and the cybercrime legislation.
