TİKA Supports the Project “Trakya’nın Yaşayan Renkleri” (“The Vivid Colors of Thrace”)

Developed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), and Thracians Foundation, the project “Trakya’nın Yaşayan Renkleri” (“The Vivid Colors of Thrace”) was completed.

As part of the project, a photography exhibition and booth events were held on Pella Square in Skopje in order to promote the cultural values of Thrace on international platforms and support the tourism activities in the region.

Guests were gathered at the Friendship Event

The project ended with the friendship event hosted at Hilton Hotel in Skopje. The friendship event was attended by Oğuzhan Berber, Commercial Attaché at the Turkish Embassy in Skopje; Gönül Bayraktar, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Policy, and Education of North Macedonia; Hüsrev Emin, Chairman of MATÜSİTEB; Neşe Saban, Deputy Director of Yunus Emre Institute of Skopje; Tahsin İbrahim, President of the Abdülhakim Hikmet Doğan Education, Culture, and Art Center (ADEKSAM)/Turkish Youth Association; and Vildan Daut, President of the Association for Turkish Teachers in North Macedonia.

“Projects should be developed for Turkish people living in the Balkans”

Hüsrev Emin, Chairman of MATÜSİTEB, delivered a speech at the event on behalf of Turkish NGOs in North Macedonia, and stated that the projects and visits of NGOs from Türkiye are very important for Turkish people living in the Balkans, and that we need to strive to preserve our culture for future generations in unity and solidarity. Halim Ömer Söğüt, TİKA’s Coordinator in Skopje, noted that TİKA would always support events aiming for cultural exchange.

Later in the program, the Centar Župa Folk Group from Necati Zekeriya Primary School in Kodžadžik, the winner of the Čalakli Hıdırellez Spring Festival, put on a show.
