TİKA Supports Technical School in Sandzak

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided a CNC machine to Tutin Technical School in the Sandzak region of Serbia.

It is aimed to contribute to the local economy by improving the quality of vocational training through the CNC machine provided by TİKA to Tutin Technical School. The project aims to provide qualified employees for more than 130 small and medium sized enterprises operating in the fields of wood and metal processing in Tutin and neighboring provinces.

Tutin Technical School educates 640 students through its departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metal processing, traffic, economy and management, textile-leather, forestry and wood processing.

Consul General of Türkiye in Novi Pazar, Başar Başol, Headmaster of Tutin Technical School, Hayruş Hot, and teachers and students of the school attended the opening ceremony of the project. In his speech, Başar Başol emphasized stated that Türkiye showed maximum effort for the people of Sandzak and stressed that TİKA took the most important role in these works. Reminding that the young people form the basis for the development of Sandzak, Başol said that a CNC machine was delivered to Tutin Technical School to reach that goal.

Headmaster of Tutin Technical School, Hayruş Hot indicated that this project is of great importance for the development of the region and that the students who will be studying their practical classes for 4 years through the machine provided by TİKA will have the necessary knowledge and qualification to be employed in the companies in the sector after they graduate from the school. Noting that TİKA has provided support not only for the improvement of the technical capacity of Tutin Technical School but also for the development of Tutina and the region through the delivery of the machine, Hot added that the support from Türkiye will always be remembered.
