Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided equipment to improve quality control processes in the processing and production of sugar cane in Bolivia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Productive Development and the Plural Economy of Bolivia.

The digital sugar content analyzer and refractometer provided to Empresa Azucarera San Buenaventura (EASBA), the national government agency for the production, processing, and marketing of sugar cane and its derivatives, will be used in the R&D laboratories of the institution.

In his speech, EASBA’s Representative Jose Isaac Flores Bustamante thanked Turkey for the equipment provided and said that the support provided would contribute to the achievement of their targets and the development of the sugar production plant.

The project is expected to provide direct employment opportunities for 551 families growing sugar cane and indirect employment opportunities for 5,000 people.
