TİKA Supports Installment of Innovation Classrooms in Moldova

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) continues to install innovation classrooms in Moldova.

In Ion Creangă Theoretical High School, which is in the Florești district in the north of Moldova, physics and chemistry laboratories were equipped by TİKA. Within the scope of the installment of innovation classrooms in pilot schools project country-wide in Moldova, the laboratories of the school, which was founded in 1992 and had a capacity of 510 students, were equipped with modern pieces of equipment. The school was not able to renovate the laboratories due to financial difficulties.

TİKA is forming a model for the Moldova education system with the installment of innovation classrooms projects country-wide. Before this, a biology laboratory had been installed within Mircea Eliade Theoretical High School in the capital, Chișinău, in line with the students’ demand, and the project had been met with great excitement.

Through the model, the goal of which is to contribute to Moldova’s education system, the aim is to give students access to technological and scientific innovations in schools equipped with modern amenities.

Moldova’s Minister of Education, Dan Percun, and Member of Parliament of Moldova, Larissa Novak, visited the high school after the project was complete and got information about the project. After the visit, Minister of Education Percun thanked TİKA for their contribution to the field of education country-wide and stated that they wish to take the innovation classrooms as a model and spread it country-wide.
