The 46th annual Conference on Oceans Law & Policy took place in İstanbul with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA)’s support.
Conference on Oceans Law & Policy brings together the world’s leading maritime jurists and is organized in a different country annually. This year, it took place in İstanbul between the 21st and 22nd of September 2023.
Hosted by Ankara University Research Center of the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM), the conference took place with the cooperation of Turkish Chamber of Shipping (TCS) and TİKA. The main theme was determined as “Secure, Safe, and Sustainable Navigation”.
The event was attended by maritime jurists from 40 different countries. Former Prime Minister of Jordan, Awn Al-Khasawneh, General Director of Maritime Affairs, Ünal Baylan, Rector of Piri Reis University, Nafiz Arıca, Vice Chairman of Services Exporters’ Association, Salih Zeki Çakır, Vice Chairman of Turkish Chamber of Shipping, Recep Düzgit and many invitees were also present.
