TİKA Supports Beekeeping in Pakistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) continues to carry out solution-oriented and sustainable development projects in various sectors in Pakistan.

Within this context, “Advanced Beekeeping Research and Training Program” has been initiated for 100 experts in the cities of Peshawar, Kohat, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and Islamabad in order to increase the quality of honey production and introduce to Pakistan the methods that are in use in Turkey.

Each expert that attends the program will be provided two beehives as well as equipment to use for production.

The first step of the program has begun in Peshawar, where beekeeping is carried out predominantly in the country.
