TİKA Supported Agriculture in North Macedonia by Providing 100,000 Strawberry Seedlings

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided 100,000 strawberry seedlings and agricultural equipment for strawberry cultivation to farmers, who are mainly Turks, in six different regions as part of the “Project for Strawberry Cultivation in North Macedonia.”

As part of the project implemented by TİKA, a total of 20 families were provided with strawberry seedlings with year-round high yield, agricultural equipment for strawberry cultivation, and training in six regions in the municipalities of Vasilevo (Nova Maala Village), Bosilovo (Ednokukjevo Village), Konče, Lozovo (Durfulija Village), Gradsko (Kočilari Village), and Ohrid in North Macedonia.

In addition to the training given as part of the project, each family was provided with 5,000 Turkish-origin certified high-yield Albion and Rubigen strawberry seedlings suitable for the regional climate to be planted on a land of 1,000 sq. meters, as well as strawberry mulching equipment, drip irrigation equipment, and automated farm machinery to be used jointly by farmers who plant strawberries.
