TİKA Renewed the Environment Around the Turkish Primary School in Mexico and Installed Training Workshops

President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Serkan Kayalar, attended the opening ceremony of the science, mathematics, and design workshops, installed along with the environmental planning made at the Turkish Primary School in Mexico.

TİKA did environmental planning at the Turkish Primary School, which has been active since 1970 as a symbol of the friendly relationship between Türkiye and Mexico, and installed the “Science, Mathematics, and Design Workshops”.

Making official visits to the capital city of Mexico, Mexico City, President of TİKA, Serkan Kayalar, attended the opening ceremony of the “Mexico-Turkish Primary School’s Environmental Planning” and “Science, Mathematics, and Design Workshops”.

The ceremony was attended by Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mexico, İlhan Kemal Tuğ; the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) Director General for Special International Projects, Monica Pérez Egüis; school administrators, teachers, and many other guests.

In his opening speech during the ceremony, President of TİKA, Kayalar, stated that the friendly relationship between Türkiye and Mexico is almost a century old, and it has grown stronger over the last decade.

Stating that TİKA is carrying out joint development projects to strengthen the friendly relationships further as Türkiye’s official establishment for technical cooperation, Kayalar stressed that since its establishment in 2015, TİKA’s office in Mexico has carried out more than 100 projects for the people of Mexico in a short period of 8 years.

Stating that education has a primary position among the fields in which TİKA is active, Kayalar said that they believe investment in the education of children and young people is the basis of prosperity and a strong future. Kayalar stated that within this scope, the Turkish Primary School, which has been active since 1970, is a symbol of the friendly relationship between the two countries. He also stated that they have carried out various projects since 2017 for the school to serve under the best conditions and will continue their contributions to the school.

The Turkish Primary School aims to present its students with a better atmosphere for education with its renewed environment and efficient workshops.

TİKA continues to contribute to the friendly relationship between the two countries with the development cooperation projects it has carried out in Mexico since 2015.
