TİKA Put a Smile on the Faces of Orphans in Herat with Its Eid al-Fitr Event

The Eid al-Fitr Event held by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Herat, Afghanistan, brought the joy of Eid al-Fitr to orphans living in state orphanages.

TİKA’s Program Coordination Office in Herat held an Eid al-Fitr festival for orphans living in boys’ and girls’ orphanages operating in Herat. Holiday clothing and shoes were distributed to children living in orphanages, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The orphans had fun together at the festival held by the Agency.

Provincial Director of Social Affairs of Herat attended the festival and thanked the Republic of Türkiye and TİKA, saying, “The orphans have never had such a joyful Eid.”

Hasan, a fourth-grade student living in the orphanage, said, “I would like to TİKA for its gifts. May Allah bless you with abundance in return for these services so that you can serve other orphans and us better.”

Rahmatullah Hatibi, Director of the Boys’ Orphanage, pointed out to TİKA’s food aid and iftar dinners during Ramadan, saying, “If it were not for you, the doors of the orphanage would be closed to orphans this Ramadan.” He thanked the Republic of Türkiye and TİKA for the festival.
