TİKA Provides Training for Mozambican Journalists

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided an “Energy Journalism Training” for Mozambican Journalists in cooperation with Anadolu Agency.

As part of the training, which was organized with the cooperation of TİKA and AA, experts from Anadolu Agency touched upon many technical subjects for 3 days.

After the training, which was attended by 17 journalists from the Mozambique Public Television, Mozambique Radio and other relevant institutions, a ceremony was held where the participants were handed out certificates.

The ceremony was attended by Hüseyin Avni AKSOY, Ambassador of Turkey in Maputo; Sibel Aksoy, the Ambassadress; and Cloudio Jone; Chief Editor of TVM. Sibel Aksoy, who is also an accomplished journalist herself, gave a speech at the ceremony and talked about the changes in journalism and what should be done in order to become a decent journalist.

Having received their certificates from Ambassador Aksoy, the journalists once again expressed their wish that these projects would continue.

Energy journalism is becoming more and more important in Mozambique, a country that aims to become one of the electricity-generating countries thanks to their underground sources.
