TİKA Implements a Project for Support for Students in Guatemala

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Embassy in Guatemala implemented a project to provide various stationery items and shoes to students in need in Guatemala.

As part of the “Project for Support for Students,” implemented by TİKA in cooperation with the Turkish Embassy in Guatemala, 2000 bags containing various stationery items and 2000 shoes were provided to students in need in 11 primary schools in Ciudad Quetzal, San Juan Sacatepéquez.

Students thanked our country with the handmade flags of Türkiye and Guatemala at the ceremony attended by more than 1,000 people, including Ava Atzum Arévalo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala; Vilma Lorena León Oliva, Deputy Minister of Education of Guatemala; Peride Blind, Head of the UN Resident Coordinator's Office in Guatemala; Panama’s Ambassador to Guatemala; Mehmet Erkan Aytun, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Guatemala; and Embassy staff.
