TİKA Helps Give Training to Uzbekistani Tourism Experts

The "Tourism Advanced Food, Beverage and Accommodation Services Trainer Training", the 2nd stage of the Tourism Education Program (TUREP) conducted by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), was organized in Ankara with the participation of Uzbekistani experts.

The trainings which were held between September 27-October 4 and attended by 16 experts influential in the policy-making of tourism education field, were organized in cooperation by TİKA, Turkish Ministry of Education, Uzbekistan's Tourism Development Committee and Silk Road University.

The 2-week long trainings, which dealt with topics such as "Guest Relations", "Occupational Health and Safety", "Computer Automation Programs", "Setting the Service Plate", "Soups", "Travel Agencies and Tour Operators", and "Deserts", aroused great interest in the participants.

Provincial Director of National Education Hüseyin Er and the President of Antalya Falez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Ersümer Eren presented the certificates to the participants at the post-training ceremony.

The first stage of the Tourism Education Program (TUREP), the "Current Approaches Training" was organized in Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and The Gambia earlier this year.
