Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) held iftar dinners for nearly 5,000 people in need during Ramadan in Kabul, Afghanistan, as part of its Ramadan programs for 2022.

TİKA’s Program Coordination Office in Kabul held iftar dinners for orphans, people in need, university students, Turkology students, and Türkiye Alumni in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, and surrounding provinces during Ramadan as part of its Ramadan programs for 2022.

Zühtü Çal, TİKA’s Coordinator in Kabul, commented on the events held during Ramadan and stated that they were very happy to sit at TİKA’s tables together with the Afghan people. He said, “After a tiring 20-hour journey, we arrived in Daykundi Province and had the chance to see the happiness on the faces of citizens who attended the iftar dinner. The joy and happiness in the eyes of the children living in difficult circumstances in the orphanage was worth seeing. We have held events for almost all segments of the society, including orphans, people in need, university students, Turkology students, Türkiye Alumni, and other segments.”

Çal added that TİKA would soon provide support for orphanages and would implement projects for the development of the Afghan people from now on.
