TİKA Equips a School for Students with Disabilities in Hungary

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) equipped the Kozmutza Flóra Kindergarten, Primary School, Secondary School, and Dormitory for Students with Disabilities, which operates in Veszprém, Hungary.

TİKA provided the Kozmutza Flóra Kindergarten, Primary School, Secondary School, and Dormitory for Students with Disabilities, located in Veszprém, Hungary, with a playground where students between the ages of 3 and 6 with mental or physical disabilities will spend their free time with activities that will improve their mobility; laptops for the use of the learning module designed for special education; and physiotherapy equipment for the physical therapy treatments to be provided to students.

With a staff of 43 people, the Kozmutza Flóra School for Students with Disabilities provides education, training, and residential care services for 144 students, including 49 boarders, between the ages of 3 and 25 with moderate to severe mental, physical, or multiple disabilities.

The purpose of the project is to contribute to the equality of opportunity in education by supporting disadvantageous groups living in regions other than Budapest in Hungary, where access to free special education and rehabilitation is limited. The project aims to provide developmental physiotherapy, which helps treat muscular system disorders; to improve students’ social skills; and to support educational practices with digital tools.
