TİKA Distributed Ramadan Food Parcels to 900 Families in Need in Thailand

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed food parcels to 900 low-income families in the district of Chana in Songkhla, located in southern Thailand, on the occasion of Ramadan.

Nearly 5000 people directly benefited from the project, implemented by TİKA, the Turkish Embassy in Bangkok, the Office of the Shaikh al-Islam of Thailand, and Al-Ehsan Al-Khairiah Foundation, a local foundation.

The distribution ceremony was attended by Serap Ersoy, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Bangkok; Surin Palarae, MP and Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT); Palinda Palarae, Deputy Governor of Songkhla; and other local authorities.

At the ceremony held for the project, food parcels containing rice, canned fish, sugar, cooking oil, and noodles were delivered to families.
