TİKA Celebrated April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with Orphans in Pakistan.

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) organized an iftar dinner for orphans on the National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.  

The ceremony took place in the Embassy of Turkish Republic in İslamabad. İ. Mustafa Yurdakul, the Ambassador of Türkiye in İslamabad, Khazar Farhadov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Islamabad, Dilşad Şenol, the Islamabad Representative of TRNC, Turkish representatives, Pakistani NGOs, students of Al Khidmat Children’s Home and press members participated in the program.

Muhsin Balcı, TİKA’s Islamabad Coordinator, gave a speech in the ceremony and said that TİKA has been carrying out projects in many fields such as agriculture, education, health and tourism through its 62 program offices. He indicated that they have been conducting projects in Pakistan since 2010. Balcı said that he is happy that this year’s iftar was organized on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. He stated that it is the people that make a nation sovereign and Turkish Grand National Assembly proved this in the War of Independence.

İ. Mustafa Yurdakul, the Ambassador of Türkiye in İslamabad celebrated the children’s bairam and said that he is pleased that he spent time with the orphans. Yurdakul thanked TİKA for the event.

The program ended as children were presented gifts after the iftar.
