TİKA Built an Incubation Center and a Digitization Center in Pakistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) built an Incubation Center and a Library and Digitization Center at Quaid-i-Azam University.

An Incubation Center was built at Quaid-i-Azam University, which is one of Pakistan's best universities and located in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, to share Türkiye's entrepreneurial and innovation capacity with Pakistan. TİKA carried out maintenance and repair activities in the area allocated by the university, and made the tools such as computers, printers, digital multimedia systems, etc. needed by the Incubation Center ready for use.

A strong cooperation will be ensured between the university and the industry

It is aimed to ensure strong cooperation between the university and the industry, to find local solutions to technological problems, and to make good use of the existing intellectual potential by putting the Incubation Center into service. The center will host training programs for university students and other trainees in several fields such as entrepreneurship ecosystem, creative thinking techniques, business modelling, product-market relevance, etc., in cooperation with Teknopark Istanbul.

More than 10,000 works will be digitized

Furthermore, in the Digitization Center, over 10,000 books and over 400 historical and cultural works from the 18th and 20th centuries in several languages, especially in Arabic, English, and Sindhi, kept in the library of the university will be digitized. The opening ceremony held for the Incubation Center and the Library and Digitization Center was attended by Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor at Quaid-i-Azam University; M. İhsan Yurdakul, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Islamabad; faculty members; university students; and press members.
