TİKA and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Provided Training for Tajik Firefighters

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Fire Department of Konya Metropolitan Municipality held the “Advanced Firefighting Training” for Tajik firefighters.

As part of its Emergency and Disaster Response Training Program (ADAMEP), TİKA and Konya Metropolitan Municipality provided training for Tajik firefighters.

The training courses held as part of ADAMEP aim to train teams of specialists, increase the effectiveness of disaster response, and minimize the losses of life and property.

Trainers in the Fire Department Training Center of Konya Metropolitan Municipality had previously taught training courses in Uzbekistan, Montenegro, Libya, and the Gambia as part of the same project. 

Most recently, the 6-day “Basic Firefighting Training” was held in the Republic of Tajikistan from October 10 to 18, 2021, and was followed by the “Advanced Firefighting Training,” held for 15 Tajik firefighters in Konya from February 24 to March 9, 2022.
