25 December 2019The Mobile Office Vehicles Given as a Gift by TİKA to Uzbekistan Make Distances Insignificant
The mobile office vehicles given as a gift by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to the government of Uzbekistan have reached even the most remote villages and served 344,530 people in various regions of the country in 10 months this year.
20 mobile office vehicles given as a gift by TİKA to the Agency for Public Services of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan last year provide public services to the most remote corners of the country. According to the officials of the Agency for Public Services who spoke to Anadolu Agency, the mobile office vehicles provided by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to the government of Uzbekistan have reached even the most remote villages and served 344,530 people in various regions of the country in 10 months this year.
During this period, 20 mobile vehicles have provided public services to the citizens living in the mountains, the shepherds in the middle of the vast Kyzylkum Desert, and the farmers living in the former shores of the Aral Sea, which dried up. The mobile office vehicle used in the region of Karakalpakstan in northern Uzbekistan visited the district of Muynak in the Aral Sea basin, which is very far from the center of the province, and provided various public services to citizens. Therefore, citizens did not have to go to the center of the province, which is located 380 kilometers away, and saved both time and money.
– “We provided great convenience to those living in the most remote corners of the country”
Spokesperson of the Tashkent Office of the Agency for Public Services Erkin Doripov told the AA correspondent that the agency provided 120 different kinds of public services, including notary, tax, inheritance, and land registry services; business and work permit and license, birth certificate, identification card, passport, and driver’s license transactions; utility bill payments such as electricity, gas, and water; document registration; pre-school and school enrollment; procedures for retirement and military service; natural gas and electricity subscriptions of natural and legal persons; and construction and architectural permits. Doripov noted that they helped those living in the most remote corners of the country and provided public services to them thanks to the mobile office vehicles given as a gift by TİKA to Uzbekistan. He stated that these vehicles can serve even in the regions with no electricity as they were equipped with solar energy panels. Doripov said, “The mobile office vehicles delivered by TİKA both help official institutions to build trust among citizens and make distances insignificant.” Doripov stressed that each of the mobile office vehicles provided by TİKA has traveled an average of 10,000 kilometers and carried out the official transactions of thousands of citizens in 10 months. During his visit to Uzbekistan in September last year, Former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Binali Yıldırım had delivered a speech at the delivery ceremony of 50 ambulances and 20 mobile office vehicles provided by TİKA and noted that the mobile offices will remedy an important deficiency by providing public services such as notary, inheritance, and land registry services to those living in the villages of Uzbekistan, which covers an area of approximately 450,000 sq. kilometers.
