The exhibition, which was held to explain the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, 2016, to the people of Kyrgyzstan and the international community, was attended by Ahmet Sadık Doğan, the Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador to Bishkek; Osman Usta, TİKA’s Bishkek Program Coordinator; Alparslan Ceylan, President of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University; Azamat Zhamankulov, former Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic; Belek Kalykov, Head of Information and Public Relations Department at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic; Victoria Mozgacheva, Vice Mayor of Bishkek; Sándor Dorogi, Hungary’s Ambassador to Bishkek; Atınç Keskin, the TRNC's Representative in Bishkek; Atamsha Dursunov, President of Association of Meskhetian Turks of Kyrgyzstan; diplomats; Kyrgyz and Turkish business people; and many press members.

Ahmet Sadık Doğan, the Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador to Bishkek, began his speech by thanking the audience for their participation in the photography exhibition held on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, and stated that the coup attempt of July 15 was put down thanks to the strong will of the Turkish people.

Following his speech, Ambassador Doğan examined the photographs in the exhibition and explained each phase of the coup attempt to the invitees. Doğan told that the attempt began with the closure of the Bosphorus Bridge by the coup plotters; that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the center of the national will, was bombed; that citizens used their bodies as shields in front of the tanks rolling towards them; and that the treacherous coup attempt plotted by FETÖ was put down by people from all social groups, including women and elderly people, who resisted as a nation under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

After the presentation of the exhibition, the documentary “Turkey Is Impassable,” filmed by the Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Turkey, was shown, and the Russian copies of the book “15 July Coup Attempt in Turkey and People’s Victory” were distributed.

The Chingiz Aitmatov Hall at the National Library of Kyrgyzstan, which is located in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and is the largest central library in the country, was renovated and equipped by TİKA in 2019, and an electronic book registration and security system was installed by the Agency in 2021.
