The “International Congress on Educational Sciences in the Turkic World” Was Held in Ankara

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Gazi University, and Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) held the “International Congress on Educational Sciences in the Turkic World” in Ankara from November 24 to 26, 2021.

The International Congress on Educational Sciences in the Turkic World, held in Ankara, was attended by many academics from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Iraq, Uzbekistan, North Macedonia, Russia’s Yakutia region, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

125 papers were presented at the congress, which was held by TİKA, Institute of Educational Sciences at Gazi University, and YTB from November 24 to 26, 2021. The congress aimed to ensure the understanding of current issues in educational sciences in Turkey and the Turkic World at an academic level, present the studies conducted, and share the experience gained through these studies with all the educational stakeholders.

The opening ceremony of the congress, which was held on November 24, Teacher’s Day, was attended by Prof. Musa Yıldız, Rector of Gazi University; Abdullah Eren, President of YTB; Dr. Rahman Nurdun, Vice President of TİKA; Dr. Ali Öztürk, Head of the Department for Central Asia and Caucasus at TİKA; former deans of the Faculty of Education at Gazi University; current deans; principals; academics; and students.

In his speech at the ceremony, Dr. Rahman Nurdun, Vice President of TİKA, said, “The Turkic world has always been devoted to independence throughout history. Our country is using every means available to ensure cooperation with the Turkic world.”

Dr. Rahman Nurdun concluded his speech by saying, “We opened our first office in Kyrgyzstan and began operations there. Today, we operate in more than 150 countries, thanks to the increasing opportunities offered by our Government. We touch the lives of those in need with tangible operations. As TİKA, we have so far completed more than 6,000 projects. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have contributed to this congress, and wish everyone a happy Teachers’ Day.”

The ceremony ended after the presentation of tree certificates to the former deans of the Faculty of Education at Gazi University, the President of YTB, the Vice President of TİKA, and the Head of the Department for Central Asia and Caucasus at TİKA, and the performance of a folk dance group.
