Turkey Is Sharing Its Experience in Veterinary Medicine to Uzbekistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, and the State Committee of Veterinary Medicine and Development of Animal Husbandry of Uzbekistan held the “Trainers’ Training on the Legislation on Artificial Insemination and Pedigree” in Uzbekistan.

The training courses held in 2020 as part of the “Trainers’ Training on the Legislation on Artificial Insemination and Pedigree” within the scope of the Project for the Development of Artificial Insemination Practices in Uzbekistan continued in three different cities in Uzbekistan in November 2021.

As part of the program, a total of 165 Uzbek veterinary personnel were trained, including 55 in Nukus from November 1 to 6, 2021, 55 in Andijan from November 8 to 13, 2021, and 55 in Tashkent from November 15 to 20, 2021.

4 specialists from the International Center for Livestock Research and Training, located in Lalahan, Ankara, and affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the most knowledgeable institution on Artificial Insemination in Turkey, gave theoretical and applied training to participants.  

The training focused on the anatomy of the reproductive system, legislation on the selection of bulls for breeding, reproductive physiology, estrous cycle and detection, examination before artificial insemination, theoretical and applied training on artificial insemination practices, transmission of venereal diseases and catalog reading, caring for and feeding cattle, use and synchronization of reproductive hormones, and pedigree.

In addition to 165 trainees, the training was attended by heads of departments of veterinary medicine and faculty members, the director and officials of the institute, the former Governor of Tashkent, the Director and Deputy Director of Veterinary Affairs in Nukus, heads of the Provincial Breeding Associations of Nukus and Andijan, and students in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Certificates were presented to the participants at the ceremony held after the training.
