Tajikistan Vahdat Central Hospital Emergency Clinic Renovated

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) continues to support health sector in Tajikistan. Within this context TİKA renovated Vahdat Central Hospital Emergency Clinic.

Throughout the country TİKA physically improves and donates medical equipment to Tajik healthcare centers that remain without any reconstruction since the Soviet era.

TİKA modernized Vahdat Central Hospital Emergency Clinic which serves to 315.000 people in the region. Hospital authorities and staff expressed their gratitude to Turkey and TİKA for their support.

National Development Strategy (NDS) of Tajikistan refers that public policy will be designed to improve the quality of life for the country’s people, reduce poverty, provide social protection for vulnerable segments of the population and develop health sector. According to NDS of Tajikistan, current budget appropriations are insufficient for the stable operation and development of the health care system. The health care system is becoming increasingly dependent on foreign aid.
