A committee from TİKA visited the Chad Ministry of Family and Social Activities while working on projects continuing in Cameroon and Chad. With the contributions of the Turkish Embassy in Encemine, 11 Social Centers in the capital were given supplies to benefit widows and people who were physically handicapped in the civil war. The supplies provided by TİKA were given to the authorities in a ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Chad Minister of Family and Social Activities Baiwong Djibergui Amane Rosine, the Turkish Ambassador to Encemine Ahmet Kavas, the TİKA committee and the Social Activities Center authorities.

Each Activity Center, which had been standing empty with widows and young women since being opened due to financial constraints, was provided with two sewing machines to give sewing lessons. The Number 5 center was given a soldering machine to help men young and old who had been injured and left handicapped by the civil war learn the vocation of welding in order to make a living in the current standards of Chad.

Also chalk boards, chairs and tables were supplied to the centers in order to provide reading and writing courses to illiterate people.
