Support from TİKA to the 2nd International Ahi Evran Medicine and Health Sciences Congress

The 2nd International Ahi Evran Medicine and Health Sciences Congress supported by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) was held in Kırşehir.

The 2nd International Ahi Evran Medicine and Health Sciences Congress was held at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Congress Culture Center from 17 to 19 November 2022. The main theme of the congress supported by TİKA was “Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medical Practices” and its motto was decided as “From Ibn Sina to Ahi Evran – Healing from Nature”.

Governor of Kırşehir, H. Mete Buhara, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Prof. Vatan Karakaya, President of the Congress and Vice-Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Prof. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, about 200 scientists from different universities in Türkiye and training and research hospitals within the Ministry of Health, and lots of participants from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Bangladesh, United States of America, Italy, and Israel attended the congress.

The Traditional and Complementary Medicine (GETAT) Education Workshop organized after the opening program of the congress was held under the presidency of Rector Prof. Karakaya.

Following the speeches of Prof. Salih Mollahaliloğlu and Prof. Ahmet Yaser Müslümanoğlu, a final declaration was prepared considering the GETAT education and practices with all its aspects.

Throughout the congress, mainly GETAT outputs and practices in our country and across the world were addressed at all points. Sector representatives were invited as speakers and participants, and all issues regarding the subject were discussed.
