The waiters class established by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in the Golubovci Vocational High School, which is the largest vocational high school in the region with 350 students and is located within the borders of the Zeta Municipality, was opened for service with a ceremony.
TİKA established a waiters class in the Golubovci Vocational High School, which is the largest vocational high school in the region with 350 students and is located within the borders of the Zeta Municipality, within the scope of works to improve the quality of the vocational training in Montenegro. Headmaster of the school, Drazen Boriçiç, teachers, students, and TİKA’s officials attended the opening ceremony of the class.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Headmaster of Golubovci Vocational High School, Drazen Boriçiç stated that so far three educational projects have been carried out in cooperation with TİKA and that the waiters class established by TİKA would play a critical role in improving the educational conditions of the students of Golubovci Vocational High School. Headmaster Boriçiç stated that the cooperation with TİKA went very well and thanked TİKA and Türkiye for their support on behalf of the teachers and students of the school.
TİKA’s Coordinator in Montenegro, Abdurrahman S. Toprak indicated that TİKA has carried out 120 projects such as vocational training for improving both the capacity and the quality of education, building of schools and kindergartens, equipment supports, and establishing modern computer classes, across Montenegro since 2007 and noted that Montenegro attaches great importance to the educational sector. Adding that TİKA has carried out 450 projects in Montenegro so far, TİKA’s Coordinator in Montenegro Toprak congratulated the project and said that they would continue to support educational projects in the country.
As a part of the projects carried out by TİKA in Montenegro, equipment support had been provided to the hairdressing department of the mentioned school in 2021 and expert teachers from the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye had provided a 2-week crash course for the students of the department. In addition, a greenhouse had been provided to the agriculture department of the school as a part of the “TİKA’s Programs on Improving School Horticulture in The Balkans and Eastern European Countries”.
