Support by TİKA for Maarif Turkish School in Sudan

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided repairs for the Maarif Turkish School located in Sudan’s capital Khartoum.

TİKA continues to implement new projects in Sudan. Maarif Turkish School located in Khartoum, which had its handover procedures completed in 2017 and which stands out as an exemplary institution with its excellent teaching and administrative staff, was repaired by TİKA.

TİKA prepared the project for the renovation of the school, which serves with primary school, secondary school and high school curricula to 1200 students, and upon the requests of the administrators and as a result of the on-site inspections, the project included additional classrooms, toilets, teachers’ rooms, a kitchen, a principal’s room, a separation division for the primary school sections and an emergency exit to the garden.

After the repair and construction work was completed, the renovated and newly built sections were handed over to the school administrators. During the ceremony, the School’s administrator and section principals thanked TİKA for its contributions.
