Pediatric Intensive Care Unit To Nepal

 

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency delivered the pediatric intensive care unit equipment to authorities with a ceremony. This medical equipment will be used in Siddhi Memorial Hospital which is situated in Kathmandu.
TIKA continues its activities in Nepal which receives the least foreign aid among Least Developed Countries. In this regard, TIKA donated pediatric intensive care unit equipment to Siddhi Memorial Hospital which gives free service to low income families.

The hospital is in Bakhtapur one of the poor districts of Katmandu. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health of Nepal, Members of Social Relief Council, TIKA officials and hospital employees attended the opening ceremony. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health of Nepal pointed out that infant mortality is an important problem in Nepal and the pediatric intensive care units are going to meet this vital need in Nepal. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health of Nepal expressed his thanks to TIKA for the donation.

Nepal, surrounded by China and India is situated at the foot of Himalayas, the summit of the earth. %70 of the health expenses cannot be met by state, therefore these expenses are financed through foreign aid. The donation of TIKA has an important place in Nepal which has %40 of infant mortality.
