Held in Cooperation with TİKA and TRT, Journalism Training Provided to the Young People in Tajikistan

In cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), journalism training was provided to young people in Tajikistan.

In the two different training, conducted in the capital city of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, 180 students were educated on social media content production, storytelling, mobile journalism and video montage training. The young people, who shot videos using mobile journalism techniques, delivered their final projects at the end of the training.

The first training was arranged for the students of Tajik National University, Faculty of Communication. University Rector, Prof. Dr. Komilcon Hushvahtzoda, stated in his speech in the training closing program that he was pleased to be able to witness that the students improved this much in a short period. In his speech Hushvahtzoda continuously said: “This hall that the training held is also TİKA’s work.” The modification and equipment of this hall were also done by TİKA. I hope our cooperation will continue in the future as well.”

The second training was carried out at Dushanbe International School for high school students. Türkiye’s Ambassador to Dushanbe, Umut Acar; Dushanbe International School Director, Yunus Emre Koç; TİKA's Coordinator in Dushanbe, Hacı İbrahim Erbir and TRT’s Journalism for the Young People Project Coordinator, Alpay Arı attended the closing ceremony of the training.

The project came to an end with the presentation of the certificates to the students after the closing speeches.
