First Lady Emine Erdoğan, who accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his official visit to Hungary, inaugurated Kispest Rainbow Kindergarten, which was renovated and equipped by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), in Budapest.
First Lady Emine Erdoğan visited the classrooms and received information about the renovation and technical equipment support of TİKA. Listening to the Turkish and Hungarian songs of kindergarten students, Emine Erdoğan talked and gave various gifts to the children as well as participating in their games. Emine Erdoğan also received information about the “Salt Room” established by TİKA in the kindergarten to produce a solution for upper and lower respiratory diseases through natural therapy. Salt Room is a natural therapy solution for children's upper and lower respiratory diseases. Kispest Rainbow Kindergarten has the title of “Green Kindergarten”, which is given to educational institutions that implement environmentally-conscious zero waste management. Besides, Turkish is taught in the school where 77 students receive education in company with pedagogues.
First Lady Emine Erdoğan was accompanied by Kispest Mayor Peter Gajda, Yunus Emre Institute President Şeref Ateş, Kindergarten Manager Agnes Kaszper, and TİKA Budapest Coordinator Seda Dağlı. Rainbow Kindergarten was founded on September 1, 1991 in Kispest. The basic education understanding of the school is shaped under the headings of environmental sustainability, exercise for healthy living, and preservation of cultural traditions. In addition to the salt room, a gymnastics room was built in the school which was renovated by TİKA and all necessary equipment was provided. In addition, educational materials such as digital game-education console, various educational and entertaining group activity games that help improve muscle system and motor skills, social communication, attention, coordination, creativity were provided by TİKA to improve the school's educational opportunities.
