Erenler Sofrası is in Croatia

As part of the "Erenler Sofrası" Ramadan Program, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed 220 Ramadan packages consisting of food supplies to the needy people living in the Vojnić municipality of Croatia.

Nebojsa Andric, the Mayor of Vojnić, expressed his gratitude towards TİKA for their support and said that the Ramadan packages would be delivered to the homes of the citizens who live away from the center. TİKA’s Zagreb Coordinator Sedef Bulut, on the other hand, stated that the aid packages had been prepared according to the daily needs of the people and that they aimed to meet the basic necessities of the families. Bulut said that 1,700 Ramadan packages would be distributed in Croatia as part of the "Erenler Sofrası" program, which was initiated by TİKA after the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey declared 2021 as the "Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language", the "Year of Haji Bektash Veli" and the "Year of Ahi Evran".

As part of the project which is being carried out in cooperation with the municipalities of Croatia, it's planned to deliver 32 tonnes of food supplies to needy people until the end of Ramadan.
