Emergency Food Aid Was Provided To Africa During Ramazan

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Directorate provided emergency food aid during Ramazan to 9 African countries suffering from draught and malnutrition including Rwandai Chad and Birundi.

The civil wars taking place in a number of different African countries, political tension, capacity insufficiencies in the public and private sector and endemic and epidemic diseases in the continent are creating a number of adversities against the potential for countries to develop. This situation also poses a significant obstruction to the development of countries. In this context, TİKA has provided emergency food aid to 9 African countries which are suffering from draught and malnutrition.

Many international aid organizations are conducting efforts in the fields of technical cooperation and emergency food aid in Africa to deal with draught and malnutrition. TİKA, which has been continuing aid and investments in African countries also decided as a result of studies done through its Project Coordination Offices and Embassies in Africa to provide food aid during Ramadan.
In line with its decision TİKA provided emergency food aid to Rwanda, Birundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Ughanda, Djibouti, Sudan, Chad and Mali throughout the month of Ramazan.
