Drone Training from TİKA to Media Workers

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) gave “Drone Training for Media Workers” to 19 press members from 10 different countries within Media Technologies Training Program (METEP).

Young journalists, who came to Türkiye to participate in NEXT, Young Media Workers Forum organized by TRT World and supported by TİKA, participated in the drone trainings in Ankara.

Press members from Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, North Macedonia, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and Syria participated in the OHA-1 drone trainings given by TİKA for the first time. The participants showed a great interest in the training.

SAPMAZ Aviation gave the trainings in TİKA’s building. On the first day of the training, the participants were given theoretical information about unmanned aerial vehicles, civil aviation rules and drone photography. On the second and third days, they were given practical drone trainings in the flight restriction zone.

On the last day of the training, the participants were given certificates by Dr. Rahman Nurdun, TİKA Vice President, Uğur Tanyeli, President of Foreign Affairs and Partnerships, Mustafa Haşim Polat, Training Projects Coordinator and Serdar Sapmaz, Manager of SAPMAZ Aviation.

The journalists who completed the drone trainings in Ankara are going to participate in NEXT by TRT World Forum on May 14.
