Crimea International Technical Asistance Donors Forum

The International Technical Assistance Donors Forum 2013 took place in Simferopol on 30-31 May, 2013.

The forum is organized with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

In the opening speech, Council of Minister of Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anatoly Mogilev extended his thanks to technical assistance institutions that support Donors Forum and took an active role in development of Crimea. Mr. Mogilev said that “today, we gathered under a single roof and the projects which were activated by donors became driving force on the development of the regions”. He also extended his thanks to TİKA and stated that he hopes the cooperation with TİKA to continue in the future.

Svetlana Verba, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, said that the aim of the forum is to form a platform about aid organizations, governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations. Because TİKA was sponsor for many forums and seminars, she extended her thanks to TİKA.

After the forum, a press conference was held.
