3D Printers to be Manufactured in Algeria with the Support of TİKA

Founded by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in cooperation with the Center for Scientific Research of Algeria (DGRSDT), the JAZARI 3D Digital Fabrication Laboratory was put into service.

The Laboratory was put into service with a program participated by Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, the Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador to Algeria, and officials.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the laboratory, which consists of 2 units, namely an IT laboratory and a production laboratory, and was equipped with devices all brought from Turkey, 9 specialists working in different research centers in Algeria were trained by a specialist from Turkey on the use of devices and software from June 1 to 6.

Thanks to TİKA and the DGRSDT, Algerian specialists will be able to attend training courses on design and the use of 3D printers in various fields, including architecture, archeology, health, and engineering, at the JAZARI 3D Digital Fabrication Laboratory, which was put into service within the Research Center for Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST).

In the meetings held after the program, it was decided to launch efforts to manufacture 3D Printers in Algeria in cooperation with TİKA, the DGRSDT, and the Turkish Private Sector organizations. In the first phase of these activities, which will include training courses supported by TİKA, 2 Algerian specialists will be trained in Turkey on the production of 3D printers.
