TİKA Supports Civil and Administrative Infrastructures Improvement in Afghanistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) completed its landscaping and football field building activities in Belh Police Department district located in the city of Mazar-ı Sharif, Belh, Afghanistan.

Türkiye’s Consul General in Mazar-i Sharif, Semih Lütfü Turgut; Belh Police Chief, Mevlevi Abdul Zahir Mudassar; The Coordination Chief of Belh Police Department, Mevlevi Mohammed Ibrahim Sacid; TİKA’s Coordinator in Mazar-i Sharif, Mikail Taşdemir and numerous guests attended the opening ceremony of the project.

Belh Police Chief Mudassar, in his Turkish speech, thanked Türkiye and TİKA for their support. Also, stated that the work needed to increase the sports activities in the police department will start.

Giving information about the activities of TİKA in Afghanistan since 2005, TİKA’s Coordinator in Mazar-i Sharif, Taşdemir, stated that the 3200 square meter football field sodded, walking area built, and there are arrangements such as the arbour, bank and garbage containers as a part of the project.
