TİKA Committee Made A Business Visit To Vanuatu

Reha Keskintepe, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Canberra and the ambassador accredited to Vanuatu, presented his letter of credence to the President of Vanuatu. Hereby TİKA Vice-President Mr. Harun TUNCER and accompanying delegation visited Vanuatu.

During the visit, a protocol was signed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vanuatu. In the framework of this protocol, it is aimed to ensure participations of International Junior Diplomats Training Program. In addition to this, it is planned to sign the Cooperation Agreement between the two countries. As a first step of Turkey-Vanuatu Cooperation, TİKA donated 50 computers to Vanuatu’s schools and public enterprises.

A ceremony was held for donated computers. The honorable Edward Nipake Natapei, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended this ceremony and he expressed his sincere thanks for TİKA. He also said “our country will not be in the category of the Least Developed Countries in the near future”.

TİKA vice-president Mr. Harun TUNCER expressed his appreciation and he said that as a responsible actor, Turkey plays an active role in regional and global problems.

TİKA Committee also made an official visit to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Education.
