TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation that were in Balkans to form various contacts and participate in openings conducted examinations in Montenegro and Albania.
TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam who formed various contacts and participated in openings in Balkans was accompanied by Head of the Balkans and Eastern Europe Department Ali Maskan, Head of Human Resources and Support Services Department Dr. Gökçen Kalkan and TIKA officials. TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation visited TIKA Montenegro Program Coordination Office after Serbia.
In scope of the visit program, TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation negotiated with Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Rafet Husovic and President of the Islamic Association of Montenegro Rifat Ef. Feyziçile. Turkey’s operations for Montenegro were discussed during the negotiations.
Following the presentation on operations of 2012-2013, the delegation visited the construction of Bar Islamic Culture Center that is being constructed in Bar, Montenegro in scope of the Montenegro Program. Bar Islamic Culture Center which shall be completed in September 2013, is expected to be the largest Culture Center in the Balkans. After visiting Ottoman heritage sites in Stari Bar, TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation visited the Gornje Klezna Mosque in Ulcinj that was under repair and furnishing. The delegation completed forming contacts in Montenegro and moved to Albania. TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation examined TIKA projects in Albania. The delegation first visited Sheh Shamia School in Scutari and received information from school officials on educational activities in Albania.
TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation later visited Kruja Murad Bey Mosque and Preze Kale Mosque. Here, the delegation examined restoration works conducted by TIKA. Later, the delegation visited the Sarı Saltık Turbe located in Kruja Mountain which is 1200 meters high.
TIKA President Dr. Serdar Çam and the accompanying delegation received information on projects that are being conducted and planned to be conducted by TIKA in Albania by visiting TIKA Program Coordination Office in Tirana. The delegation shared their opinions on the operations in Albania and made some assessments.
At the end of the program the delegation visited Elbasan Nazire Mosque which is being restored by TIKA in Elbasan and moved to Macedonia.
