Afghan Women Are Entering a Profession Thanks to TİKA

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) established a cutting, sewing, and dress design training center for women in Herat.

After the renovation of a space owned by the Herat Women’s Chamber of Trade and Industry according to the needs of the center to be established, the necessary equipment was provided for the vocational courses to be held.

The center, which entered into service within the Herat Women’s Chamber of Trade and Industry, and the tailoring courses it will host will provide employment opportunities for many women. 

Women who will enter a profession thanks to the project will be able to practice their profession within the Herat Women’s Chamber of Trade and Industry, which sews uniforms for the army and official institutions and meets the demands of some other organizations. Following the completion of the project, training activities began at the center.
