31 May 2022New Media Journalism Basic Level Training Is Completed in Belgrade
The 'New Media Journalism Basic Level Training Program', jointly organized by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and TRT, has been completed in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
Within the scope of the five-day training program, in which a total of 16 journalists from different regions of Serbia participated, experts from TRT Digital Broadcasts Unit provided practical training to the participants regarding digital media and content production for social media platforms. GZT Production Director Doğukan Gezer also participated in the program as a guest trainer.
Speaking at the certificate ceremony held after the program, Mehmet Mete Anaç, TİKA Belgrade Program Coordinator, made the following statement: “Since 2009 we have implemented more than 300 projects in Serbia. Among these projects, our training projects have an important position. The aim of the projects is to move the good relations between the two countries to a higher level. Additionally, another aim is to share Türkiye's knowledge and experience with the people here.”
New Media Journalism training was also implemented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia in the past months, and participants from Montenegro, Kosovo and Croatia attended the training in neighboring countries. With the Belgrade training, approximately 100 press members from 7 countries across the Balkans have been trained.
Underlining that the program held in Belgrade will continue with another program to be held in Türkiye, Anaç added that “Media members from various media organizations in Serbia attended this training program. The people to be selected from here will attend the advanced training program in Türkiye.”
Ana Djurkovic, from the Serbia Radio and Television (RTS) training department, also expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation with TİKA and the satisfaction of the trainees attending the training with the program.
