Support from TİKA to International Theatre Festival

The theatre group Art Theatre working in Kosova, Prizren performed its play “An Incident at the Border” in Konya with the cooperation of the Turkish State Theatres Directorate working under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

The play “An Incident at the Border” had already been performed in the 12th International Theatre Festival in Antalya between May 16th and 19th, 2022. Appreciated by Turkish audience, the play was performed soon after in the 14th One Thousand Voices One Breath Festival of the Countries Performing Turkish Plays that took place in Konya between May 20th and May 31st, 2022.

The play, “An Incident at the Border” was written by the British playwright, Kieran Lynn and translated into several languages. Treating topics like borders, humanity, belongingness and freedom with a comic tone, the play elaborates on humanism from an unusual perspective.

TİKA’s aim in supporting theatre festivals is to offer new cooperation opportunities and help Kosovan artists, our cognates have new experiences.
