TİKA Supports Young Refugees in Jordan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) installed a greenhouse where strawberries, aromatic plants, and vegetables would be produced in Jordan.

A greenhouse which would provide business opportunities for young orphans was established in cooperation with TİKA and Orphan Child Welfare Association within Al-Hussein Refugee Camp. It is expected that strawberries, aromatic plants, and vegetables would be grown in the greenhouse to which the necessary agricultural equipment was provided.

The project aims to be an income-generating activity for the young orphans in the refugee camp with an 80% unemployment rate, and thus to improve the possibilities of the camp.
