TİKA Will Restore Tombs Of The Sahaba- Companions Of The Prophet Muhammed- In Turkmenistan

The tombs which belong to Companions of Al Hakam Gifari and Bureyda Al Aslami will be restored by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency.

TİKA President Dr. Serdar ÇAM and accompanying delegation visited Mr. Gunça Mammedova, the Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan. The restoration of Al Hakam Gifari and Bureyda Al Aslami Companions became the main topic of the conversation.

After this meeting, TİKA President Dr. Serdar ÇAM and accompanying delegation met Mr. Raşid Meredov, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. As a result of their meeting, Mr. Meredov expressed his appreciation to TİKA’s works.

In this context, a committee consisting of an engineer, an art historian and an architect was sent to Turkmenistan. In accordance with the report given by this committee, TİKA aims to begin the restoration works.
