TİKA Supports Women's Empowerment in Niger

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) built a poultry farm for 50 women who live in the village of Kogorou in Niamey and have no income.

1,100 chickens, two months’ supply of chicken feed, vaccines, medicines, drinkers, nesting boxes, incubator trays, and feeders were delivered to these 50 women as part of the project. The poultry farm will be maintained by the same women. The income generated by selling the eggs collected will be distributed equally among these women after deducting the operating costs.
