TİKA Supports Vocational Training Courses for People with Disabilities in Afghanistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided equipment support to the vocational training courses organized for the disabled individuals in the Jowzjan province of Afghanistan.

TİKA’s Program Coordination Office in Mazar-i Sharif delivered the provided necessary equipment for carper weavering, electronic device reparing, leathercrafting, and needlework courses organized in cooperation with the Association for the Protection of Physically Disabled and Martyr’s Families and the Association of the Deaf in Jowzjan.

Speaking at the delivery ceremony, TİKA’s Coordinator in Mazar-i Sharif, Mikail Taşdemir announced that the courses with the aim of providing employment, especially for the disabled and women, and contribution from them to the household income will last 6 months and that the training will start with 30 trainees at the first stage.

Trainees speaking at the ceremony expressed their appreciation for the courses organized for the disabled.
