TİKA Supports Turkish Primary School in Mexico

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) established a Mathematics and Design Workshop at the Turkish Primary School in Mexico City.

Following the model of Science Turkey Workshops, TİKA established a Mathematics and Design Laboratory at the Turkish Primary School in Mexico City with the cooperation of T3 (Turkish Technology Team) Foundation.

Within the context of this project, TİKA gave the students a modern education opportunity by building a multi-purpose classroom with study cabinets, tables, chairs, lights, and smartboards where teachers and students can interact in didactic activities related to mathematics and design. This Mathematics and Design Laboratory is expected to help children of primary school age to develop their skills in finding solutions on their own to everyday problems along with nurturing their positive emotions.

In the second stage of the project, training will be provided by T3 Foundation for the teachers at the school and the program developed by T3 Foundation will be used in the workshops.

TİKA has conducted several projects at the Turkish Primary School in the previous years as well. TİKA equipped and renovated the school's canteen in 2020, which served meals to approximately 400 students, painted the exterior and interior of the school building and adorned it with Turkish and Mexican flags in order to renew the school's image.
